
Concrete Revetment Protection
The T45 Expansion Project was established by Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) to develop a mine to port export infrastructure capable of annual iron ore exports of 45MTPA. The project included the construction of the Cloudbreak Mine Site Ore Processing Plant and Train Loading Facility, a 250km rail link between the Cloudbreak Mine and Port Hedland and a port stockyard and shiploading facility at Anderson Point, Port Hedland.
Project Overview
A component of Fortescue Metals Group's T45 Expansion Project was the development of a port stockyard and shiploading facility at Anderson Point, Port Hedland. The Port Facility would be capable of iron ore exports of 45MTPA and includes the following infrastructure:
- Train unloading system
- Overland conveyor network
- Stockyard machines including 2 stackers and 1 reclaimer
- Dual berth wharf with 1 shiploader
Scope of Work
Goodline were contracted to construct a foreshore protection system for the Port which involved the installation of 8km of concrete revetment bedding along the foreshore. Goodline's scope included:
- Foreshore bank preparation
- Geofabric installation
- Lifting and placement of revetment flexmat moulds (320 crane lifts)
- Concrete pumping (6000m³) into revetment moulds
