
Eliwana Overland Conveyor, Stockyard and Train Load Out Facility
Eliwana is FMG’s newest mine and processing facility, located 96km west-northwest of Tom Price in Fortescue’s Western Hub in the Pilbara region. Eliwana Operations includes 143km of new rail, a 30mtpa Ore Processing Facility, Stockpile with a rail mounted combination Stacker-Reclaimer and a Train Load Out Facility that exports high grade iron ore to Fortescue’s Hedland port facility.
Project Overview
Goodline was awarded a contract in mid-2019 and successfully delivered the engineering detailing, procurement, fabrication and construction of the overland conveyor systems, transfer stations, sample stations, and the train load out facility, ready for first ore in December 2020. The final package of work was to assemble and pre-commission the Stacker Reclaimer which was supplied directly by Fortescue, and minor NPI works with completion May 2021.

- 246 overland conveyor modules assembled and installed
- 24 low level stockyard conveyor modules assembled and installed
- 12 conveyor truss modules fabricated and erected
- Over 40km of electrical and instrument cable terminated
- Over 4km of underground piping
- 660m of heavy gauge rail installed
- 2 low voltage Switchrooms
- 1 high voltage Switchroom
- 1 Data Centre
- Assembly and pre-commissioning of a Stacker-Reclaimer
