Rio Tinto Alcan Gove (RTAG) reconnected it’s bauxite stockpile conveyor system with the shiploader conveyor system after curtailing the alumina refinery.
Project Overview
This work included:
- Mechanical and electrical reinstatement of overland conveyor C6-8
- Partial demolition and modifications to transfer tower TT6-19 to facilitate installation of new surge bin and apron feeder
- Raise transfer tower TT6-7 4.5m to facilitate installation of new surge bin and apron feeder
- Fabrication and installation of surge bins and structural steel for TT6-19 and TT6-7
- Fabrication and installation of conveyor C6-18 to connect TT6-19 and TT6-7 to C6-8
Scope of Work
Goodline's scope of work included Civil, SMP, E&I:
- Drafting, Supply and installation of all structural steel
- Partial demolition works to 3 Transfer Towers and 1 conveyor
- Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Electrical Construction all materials handling systems
- Civil and Concreting
- Commissioning support
- 42,000 man-hours
