Filtration Hopper and Process Pumps Installation
Roy Hill is a 60 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) iron ore mining, rail and port operation in West Australia’s Pilbara region. Post construction Roy Hill identified a requirement to improve the management of spillage, process overflows and reduce capacity limitations in bunded areas within the process plant.
Project Overview
Goodline were engaged to upgrade plant in order to redirect the belt filter underpan discharge from the sump pumps to 5 new hoppers. This delivered all spillage and process discharge slurry to the same existing location utilising the same slurry lines. The works were undertaken over a period when the plant remained running, during modular shuts and during plant wide maintenance shuts, with essential tie ins and cutovers during the shuts.
